Adhiparasakthi Agricultural College (APAC)
Adhiparasakthi Agricultural College, the first self financing Agricultural College in Tamil Nadu, was established at G. B. Nagar, Kalavai, Vellore district in the year 1999 and affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) Coimbatore. Initially APAC was started with B.Sc (Agri.) programme with an intake of 35 students. Later it was increased to 70 and in the year 2008 -2009 it was increased to 120.
In the academic year 2003-2004, B.Sc (Horti.) programme was initiated with a strength of 30 students. Later on in the year 2010 -2011 the strength was increased to 50 and the current intake is 60 students. During the academic year 2008-09, Adhiparasakthi Institute of Agriculture was started to train the students for Diploma in agriculture with an intake strength of 50 and further increased to 70.
From the academic year 2012-2013 two new P.G. Courses namely M.Sc., (Horti) in Vegetable Science and M.Sc., (Agri) in Plant pathology were started with an intake of 4 students in each course.

Eligibility +2 Subject requirements
- Group I: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology OR
- Group II: Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any one of the fourth (elective) subjects viz., Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Home Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, Informatics practices, and Environmental Science OR
- Group II (A): Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
Age Limit
Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year (i.e. as of 01.07.2024). However, for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Caste -Arunthathiyars (SCA), and Scheduled Tribes (ST) there is NO AGE LIMIT. Five years of age relaxation will be given for differently abled candidates.
Course Objective
B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture involves study of agriculture sciences and use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, land surveying, soil science, water resource management, animal and poultry management, basics of biotechnology etc. The objective of the course is to use these concepts to train students to improve agricultural productivity.
Admission Procedure
Sixty-five per cent of total seats in the affiliated colleges are filled by TNAU in general counseling. Thirty-five per cent of the total seats in the affiliated colleges are filled by the respective management. However, the candidate must have applied through TNAU online admission procedure. The nativity requirement does not arise for these seats under the management quota.
State Government School Quota
Seven and a half percent (7.5%) of seats on a “preferential basis” are reserved for students from State government schools in admission to all undergraduate courses both in constituent and affiliated colleges of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. These students (academic and vocational stream) should have continuously studied from Class 6 to 12 in the State Government Schools of Tamil Nadu.
Mode of Selection
Online Counselling – Selection process for general reservation candidates is done only through online
counseling for Government Quota seats.
Management Quota – Admission for Management Quota will be done through College.
Fee for Affiliated Management Colleges
Candidates admitted through counseling and management quota in the Affiliated colleges have to pay an all-inclusive, annual tuition Fee of Rs. 50,000/- as fixed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
