Science Programs
The following seven undergraduate degree programs, namely, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture (English and Tamil medium), B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture (English and Tamil medium), B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.Sc. (Hons.) Sericulture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) at AEC&RI, Kumulur are treated as Agricultural Science programs for the purpose of fee.
Technology Programs
The following four undergraduate degree programs, namely, B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Biotechnology), B.Tech. (Energy and Environmental Engineering), B.Sc. (Hons.) Agri Business Management) and B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) at AEC&RI, Coimbatore are treated as Agricultural Technology programs for the purpose of fees.
Fee for Affiliated Management Colleges
Candidates admitted through counseling and management quota in the Affiliated colleges (except College of Agricultural Technology, Theni* and Krishna college of agriculture and technology, Usilampatti*) have to pay an all-inclusive, annual tuition Fee of Rs. 50,000/– as fixed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
The candidates admitted in the College of Agricultural Technology, Theni* and Krishna college of agriculture and technology, Usilampatti* through Government quota have to pay an all-inclusive, annual tuition Fee of Rs. 40,000/. The candidates admitted under management quota have to pay an all-inclusive, annual tuition Fee of Rs. 70,000/-.
Refund of Fee
Students discontinuing the program before registration are eligible to get full refund of Semester fee. Those who discontinue after registration are eligible to get refund of only caution money deposit from respective campuses.
TOTAL FEES TO BE PAID AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION IN CONSTITUENT COLLEGES
SCHOLARSHIPS
Fee concessions and scholarships such as Adi Dravidar welfare scholarships, Central Government scholarships, State Government free education for student from non-graduate family, Periyar Endowment scholarships and fellowships and scholarships from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi and other agencies are available for the benefit of deserving enrolled candidates. These may vary according to the degree / college to which candidates are admitted and respective funding agencies.
FACILITIES AND RESTRICTIONS
- Campus transfer is not permissible.
- Separate hostels for men and women are available in each campus with WiFi Internet connectivity. Specified uniform is mandatory for classes / field / lab work.
- Students run messes on a dividing system basis.
- All students are expected to reside in the hostel attached to the respective colleges. In exceptional cases, the Dean is empowered to permit students to be day-scholars.
- A Students’ Centre with canteen is available in each campus to provide stationery and essential items.
- Infrastructure facilities exist in all colleges for extra-curricular activities.
- Library and sports facilities are available in all campuses.
- Students are not allowed to own and drive motorcycles / car in the campus failing which the students will not be given hostel accommodation. Parking vehicles elsewhere in the campus and usage is also equally punishable.
- Mobile phones are banned in the classroom.
